Welcome to my world.
If you’ve found yourself here, you’re likely in the same place as me: caught somewhere between low-tox products, organic meals, reading labels religiously, and the balance of Starbucks coffee, occasional fast food, and modern medicine. If that sounds like you, you’re my kind of person, and this is the place for you.
My entire world shifted the moment I became pregnant with my daughter. I entered the world of all things baby, and wow, I was not prepared for the deep dive into everything that comes with being a first-time mom in this new age. I never imagined that I would be the mama reading labels, checking for clean ingredients, searching for low-toxic products, and purging my home the best I can of harmful products for my family. It’s like once you really dig into what we eat and use every day, your target trips will never be the same, and that’s okay.
While that now is the complete norm for me, it sounds simple, right? But have you ever taken the time to go through and read the labels of the brands we’ve all grown up on? I never did, I never gave it much thought. I was the scented laundry detergent with the matching fabric softener, the scent beads, and the dryer sheets girl. I was the Bath & Body Works candles every night, girl. I was the “use the name brands we all know and love” girl.
Well, little did I know my daughter, like so many other babies, would have severe eczema & food allergies.
Those two things, such common and simple things, changed my world completely. I started to realize the amount of unhealthy triggers that we expose ourselves to daily without a second thought. The dyes, the fragrances, the added sugars, and processed ingredients.
Is product blindness a thing?
So here I am, a soon-to-be mama of 2 under 2. Living between a balance of organic, free & clear everything and ditching candles for wax melts. Let’s not even cross the topic of to vax or not to vax, yet.
We will get into that later
I hope that this blog gives some comfort to a mama out there, doom-scrolling on Google at 2 am, trying to find answers and clean products that will help their little one suffering from eczema and food allergies. While also creating a community that uplifts and encourages the balance of it all. The balance of modern medicine, a little Taco Bell here and there, while also stocking your fridge with organic goodness for your little one. You’re not quite the cloth diaper mama, but also hate the chemicals of regular diapers. I’ve been there, I AM there.
So here we are, kinda crunchy mama. I see you, I am you.
